Whether you are missing tooth is at the front or back of the mouth, we are able to replace it with a dental implant without altering the healthy adjacent teeth. Once the implant is placed, this will provide support for your final crown, resulting in a restored smile, optimal chewing ability and preserving healthy teeth and jawbone.
If you are missing multiple teeth, if all your upper and lower teeth are missing or if your existing dentures are falling out and are unstable, at The Oakwood Clinic we can help improve your situation. We can place multiple implants to support a multiple tooth bridge or firmly secure and stabilise a denture with special implant attachments.
We aim to make your dental implant journey at The Oakwood Clinic as smooth and comfortable as possible, with personalised care at every step.

Tooth loss can affect your confidence, making you self-conscious about smiling or eating in public. It can also lead to bone loss in the jaw, which may change the shape of your face, causing you to appear prematurely aged.
Unlike bridges and dentures, which don’t prevent bone loss, dental implants provide a permanent solution. They integrate with the jawbone, preventing further shrinkage and preserving the natural structure of your face. Traditional crown and bridge treatments can weaken surrounding teeth, while dentures can become unstable and uncomfortable over time.
Dental implants restore both the function and aesthetics of your smile, offering a stable, long-lasting solution that boosts confidence and improves your quality of life.
Dental implants are small titanium posts placed into the jawbone to replace the roots of missing teeth. Over time, the bone fuses with the implant in a process called osseointegration, creating a strong and stable foundation for crowns, bridges, or dentures. Once the implant is integrated, a custom restoration is attached, restoring both function and appearance to your smile.
Dental implants are suitable for most people who have lost a tooth or multiple teeth. To determine if you’re a good candidate, we'll assess your oral health, bone structure, and any medical conditions that may affect the healing process. A consultation with Ray Loke here in Oakwood will help determine whether dental implants are the best solution for your specific needs.
With proper care, dental implants can last a lifetime. The titanium post integrates with the bone and is highly durable, while the restoration (crown, bridge, or denture) can last many years before needing replacement. Regular dental check-ups and good oral hygiene are essential for maintaining your implants.
Most patients report minimal discomfort during the dental implant procedure due to the use of local anaesthesia. Post-surgery, any discomfort can typically be managed with over-the-counter pain relievers. Our team will provide detailed aftercare instructions to ensure a smooth recovery and minimise any discomfort. Caring for your dental implants is similar to caring for natural teeth. Brush and floss regularly to keep the implant and surrounding gums healthy. Regular dental visits are important to monitor the implant's condition and ensure it remains in good health. Additionally, avoid habits like grinding your teeth, which could damage your implants.
